A particular company starting with a B charges its employees for renewing their visas, by deducting 5000 yen from their paychecks the following month as a processing fee. They will deduct 20000 if your forms are late. what other companies do you know of that do this?
edit* 5000 on top of the actual renewl cost of 4000 yen

I am not sure but don't companies have to give you time to renew your visa?

Yeah. I hate how they call a new year a new contract and treat you like a total noob to the comapny. I was going to take some time off because I assumed I was in my second year with the company so I figured that I could take time off when ever I wanted but they said I had to wait 6 months just like everyone else that just got a new contract. Grrr...

I was going to take some time off...
