I have resorted to coming on here via my phone.
The school computer isnt having any of this website today. I've tried it on Internet explorer and google chrome. Do you think the computer has been blocked access to the site, or is anyone else having problems?

Actually I had something similar happen to me this morning. It wasn't just this site but nearly the whole internet. I could only get on google for a good hour. It seems to be working now though.

That's an idea, but it's really not possible because I am the only ALT in this small town that gets really access to the internet. I guess I just pulled the long straw on that one hah

Do they already have a filter set up for blocking other sites?

If so, I wouldn't be surprised if they update the filter once in a while.

But if not, maybe a problem with the DNS servers that the school's ISP uses. Those servers tell your routers that an alphanumeric domain name (i.e. Englipedia.com) really goes to some underlying numerical IP address (123.45.678 - whatever). DNS server problems usually fix themselves after a day or so.?..

I could access a good number of J sites during that time, but nothing from the outside world. It seems to have fixed itself now. Maybe a DNS problem like peet mentioned.

Let me tell you at first, I thought it was a genuine censorship attempt, of anything deemed non-essential to the workings of the schools.

I had problems this AM as well, some Japanese sites worked, others did not including this forum along with FB. Seems fine now.

Yesterday there was the major problem with Docomo...maybe this is something similar?
