other teacher

So like,
when i walked into the second of my 6nen ES classes today, the teacher of the most difficult class i have to deal with, tells me that he wants to take 10 min at the beginning of class (which was closer to 20 actually) to review the months. I did this for the two classes previous to this, but i had planned to do it a third time for this class anyways, however, when i went to get the materials for class, the months cards were gone, because he had taken them. (meaning i couldnt do it for the other class before his either)

all he did then was say (along with his terrible pronunciation) and have them repeat.
then he had them do the page in Eigo note, which i had skipped because it was nonsense. (you know the months and matching them to japanese cultural things)
none of the kids knew the answers anyways.

after he wasted almost 20 min of my time, i had to cut the end of class, and then he tells me he wants to do this every class from now on. so the most behind class can get farther behind.
its not like they have a schedule to meet, but its still a pain.

anybody have any experiences like this? thoughts on the subject?

I have a question for you here....Is this teacher in charge of the English education at your school?

If he isnt I would suggest having a discussion with the supervisor and if necessary the kyoto to discuss what you are planning for the classes. If this particular class is getting farther behind than your other classes due to his mishandling of the class and the obvious waste of time you should have a good point to raise with the supervisor and kyoto.

no he is not.

i was just fairly suprised by this.
and i mean, if he just asked me to do what he did, i would have. especially since i was planning on it anyways.
i think he might have taken his approach because i have refused to take his teaching suggestions in the past, because he wanted me to spoon feed them.
