I failed to notice the magazine 'Metropolis'. Someone correct me if I'm wrong:

--------------------------------------------------

I just noticed that it's for the Tokyo area. But there could be something outside the Kanto area
printed within it. :eyebrow:

I also didn't see, in my opinion, possibly the most powerful website, FREE, translator of Japanese Kanji, brief instruction of grammar for the Japanese language.

His website is donation only, but even if I had to pay for the services of that website, I would.

http//:www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/wwwjdic.html

The man's name is Jim Breen, and in my opinion, this guy is a genius. He's translated not only Japanese into English, but for French and German as well.(although I can't say for sure whether he has done this himself or has staff. My bet is the latter b/c this is wwwaaaaayyyyyy too much for just one man to do alone. Unless he's a total geek, has no life, eats/sleeps/showers/wears diapers/socializes at his computer.)

I have had MOST of my Japanese kanji translated from his website, or from the iPhone apps that he has. His iPhone apps are:

1) Kotoba
2) Learning Japanese

(BTW I've thrown some of the MOST DIFFICULT kanji that I could think of and it has come up with some answer for me. Provided you only use the kanji that the everyday newspaper uses. But, you never know, it could throw you a curve ball and give you something for the older kanji as well.)

For those that want to find train schedules, how to get place to place by train (bus, jet, etc), and fare. I am using it to plan my trip to Wakayama which I am leaving for tomorrow night.

Thank you. Before I didn't bother to look up the links, but I'm glad I did.

A wealth of information!

I think I'm going to be a member of the 'Read the Kanji' link. Very cool way to get into Kanji, brilliant actually. :P
