Word insert - check

Postby GETAK on Wed Nov 16, 2011 10:42 am

Hey guys, I was just asked to try out these word-insert exercises to see if anything is off or inappropriate. For each exercise, find a single word with the exact same spelling that will fit into both sentences.

1) She speaks English with a ( ) Spanish accent.
This room was ( ) with cigarette smoke.

2) The meaning of the word is no longer ( ).
The ( ) of traffic moved very slowly.

There might not be a clear or natural answer, I just wanted do see what kind of solutions you all might come up with.

Thanks for trying them out guys!

A teacher wanted me to check to see if anything was off.

His intended answers were:

2) current

Nice call Moolooman and RB! I like your take on number 1, too, Jeimuzu.
