Oyaji Gag

Postby jeisensei on Wed Dec 21, 2011 2:05 pm

So I was sitting down after lunch talking to the person that sits diagonally across from my desk. He said to me "Hara itai." ("My stomach hurts.") At that point the person that sits in front of me wanted to borrow a pen so he points to the pen on the desk of the person I was talking to and says "ii desu ka?" ("May I borrow that?" ... sounds like "i desu ka" which means "Your stomach?" ) The first guy says "Sou! Hara desu yo" ("Yeah! My stomach") leaving the second guy confused and me rolling in the aisles.

You guys have any good oyaji gags up your sleeves? Any that you experienced and just wanted to slap the person that said it?

Ask one of your teachers how to say tooth in Japanese, then ask them how to say eye in Japanese and then ask them how to say hand in Japanese. Then ask them to say those 3 Japanese words fast. Make sure it is a girl teacher and you are friendly with them when doing this.

Now that I think about it I have one that my friend in Niigata always said to me. When ever we would go to a convenience store (which happened a lot in the day after drinking) he would always look at me an say "I am so sensitive about recycling at convenience stores," and then he would point out the recycling bin that has a slot for bottles and cans. (bottle = "bin" can ="kan" put that together and you get binkan (敏感) meaning sensitive to something).

At my most recent bonenkai there were little roses on top of the desserts. I grabbed mine and the teacher's next to mine, held them up to each side of my head and said, "bara-bara."

Kyoto sensei gave me a weird look. Then, 5 minutes later, he burst out of his chair and said, "WAKATA! OMOSHIROI!"

...to which I replied, "Oyaji!"

One which I stole from the internet and am trying in my worst Japanese:

私は何人ですか? "English/American/French/Canadian/French-Canadian/Kiwi/Aussie/German..."
いいえ。 私は日本人です! "ええええええ、うそ!"
足は何本ですか? 2 (二).
はい、そう、二本人です(日本人).

'Bara' means 'rose'.
'Bara-bara' means 'scatter'.
I was saying I had a 'scatter brain'.
