Hey Q, welcome to the forum. I think the oink that hit my school is the second string of it too.

I'm knocking on wood thus far. Best of luck to you.

The oink flu isn't doing much help. Even though the schools are closed, we still have to report to work. 2.5 schools down, 1.5 left to go. Let's see what next week holds for us. I rather go to work than be down with flu.

This bug is really getting out of hand or at least the schools manner of dealing with it is.

I heard that in Hokkaido it is spreading like wildfire. Hope everyone is well.

Here at my school, they sent the 1st/2nd year home for a week. Brought them back, now have sent the 1st years home again. Now, they are talking about having a sixth period everyday or having school that trickles into winter vacation.

Yeah, the way they are handling things is getting out of control...

here in Hokkaido we have had a few kids here and there but not much
Our BOE made a rule that if 10% get it that whole year (ie 1nensei etc) will go home for a week
but it hasn't happened at our JHS (yet)

I would imagine they will be rescheduled if the school is sticks to the class hours per subject.

It seems like the students in my school are taking turns in getting flu and getting the whole week off.
First it was JHS 2nd grade than 1st grade now 3rd will get the week off, unlucky for them we have 4renkyu in between. lol Unluck me, I do not teach at the JHS this week. (excluding today)
