late trains?

Postby jessen100 on Thu Feb 19, 2009 4:08 pm

so i was on my way home the other day, and got to the station 5 min before my train was supposed to arrive, though sat outside in the cold for much longer than expensive(it was very warm earlier in the day so i was wearing very inappropriate clothing for the cold). after about an hour hour and a half, the train that i was supposed to get on didnt come and the next one came at about 45 min after it was supposed to.

as it turns out. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id ... _article=1
this is what happened.
a little unnerving to have the effect of this kind of directly affect you.
im glad i wasnt on the train a few stops earlier.

That's eerie! Kofu is where one of the project managers on the Englipedia website is trying to get a job. Evidentally, Kofu is looking for private ALTs.

What a terrible tragedy...Poor kids.
Why does this kind of crime seem to keep perpetuating here?
I get the whole " the kids are better of dead than without a mother" mentality but it doesn't make it right.
If the mother did indeed kill her own children well....no sympathy from me.
Hope she burns in hell.
But, perhaps there is more to the story?
I guess we will never know though since this kind of tale in print always seems to just state a few ambiguous facts then fall totally off the radar forever...
Gotta love journalisim in Japan.

yeah, I've been saying that for years... followup journalism in Japan is near-non-existant. even more so in the English papers where everything is just translated anyway.

really...
follow up journalism in general seems to not even exsist here aye?
even the so called "gossip rags" like friday or the countless others that run the more risky stories seem like things you would find in any run of the mill paper back home (in the States)

Japan Times and Daily Yomiuri while they do at least provide a service are quite a bore when it comes to actually reporting on anything. All you get is basic basic facts..
