I heard they were going to do this, but I didn't believe it. Looks interesting I guess.

I got to see the xbox version in action over New Years when I stayed over at a friends. Can't say I was overly impressed by it, the voice control didn't seem to work half the time and you could see the lag between your movement and the action appearing on screen.

It does have scope though for the future particularly when MS get round to releasing the next gen version in the next couple of years.

The version for Windows is different from the Xbox one. It's a tighter system, with a complete driver re-write. The internal components are supposed to be 'better' but we'll need to see a teardown to confirm that. With the improved performance, as always, there's an increase in cost. I will not be getting one unless it is is priced in a similar range to the Xbox version...although, having seen what that Swedish guy did with two/three of them, I may well be tempted if someone creates a 3d imaging capture program.

My personal interest in this is that my nephew is on the team that developed it at Microsoft!

   DAMN Straight! I am proud of him! His mother, my sister, is a rather well known, in the art circles in the US, for being an accomplished pastel artist. I guess the gene pool for ingenuity stopped with her. :dunce:
