Online Games.....

Ok I will admit it here, there are times I want to play games on line but dont want to take the time to do any researching to find a site that doesnt make you sign up with the blood of your first born child or force you to view flashing banner ads, or take forever to "watch" some stupid commercial.

I want games folks, easy to access, fun, arcade, action, puzzle, stuff like that. Here is the thread to dump your fav's into to let everyone share the experience.

One request, if you drop a link here to help this poor guy out who doesnt want to spend money on games either, please share a comment or two, or three telling about why you like the site. That is if you actually can type, otherwise forget the comments and just share the site.

Thank you...there are times during elective classes that we use the computer room. Two hours of something called "lines" which is a program for kids to use to improve their core subject skills.

Anyway, I also give them, usually that is, the last 15 to 20 minutes to play games and recently some of the kids asked for "American" games.

Ok plus I occasionally, play them myself as well. Usually on weekend nights when my sons are playing PS3 on the jumbotron wide-screen tv.

My two sons finally found a game that they both like, they are into the NBA 2K9 game BIG time. They are not much into online gaming.

Tell you the kind Dad that I am.....

I waited in line to buy their Wii when it first came out, spend lords know how much on games, Wii Fit, steering wheel, shooting, etc etc etc. Plus they both got the first Game Boys, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, DS, DS Lite.....

and I sold it all so they could get PS3 60GB and PSP's.........best thing I ever did in my life. The PS games are more entertaining they play well together and they do not get bored with them like they did with DS.

Oh I will ask them....my oldest son loves metal gear and some other rack up shoot em out game.......

I am DYING to get my hands on V.Chronicles. I was the Japanese version supported English but alas it does not. The Japanese version for Saints Row 2 does though! I think I will pick that up when it goes down in price a bit. I will most liekly importing V. Chronicles soon. Now I am in the midst of the stupid coop mode in Resistance 2 and man that is SUCH a grind.....
Along with that I am just about finished with FFX-2 for PS2 and going for 100% completion on the first playthrough. I dunno if I will make it but I am trying my damndest. bum1 do you have a ps3? my gamer tag is crustpunker if you ever want to do some online sometime. I have a ton of games and no friends.

the japanese version of SR2 is not as violent as it is supposed to be. the toned it down so they could sell it to the kids.

As for gamertags Crest I am bumnumber1, but my situation is the opposite. I have many "friends" but I rarely play online. I'd play you if I saw you though. 100% completion of X-2 is a bitch but you can see Tidus and Yuna get together and it's nice to see. The 100 level dungen is the WORST. Have something handy to beat with a stick so that you don't take out any animals or people by accident.

I know and I do often enough order from Play Asia (if you need any coupons lemme know) but it is WAY more expensive to buy American versions from them than new than the Japanese versions used.

The Asian versions of the games are often much cheaper though...
plus there is the matter of waiting 5-10 days. I would rather just go to one of the 15 game shops right near my house and pick up the Japanese version of the game if it supports English...

I also wish they would make that information available on the box as far as what language is supported.
I mean really how hard would that be to do and in fact the Asian version of PS3 games DO in fact have that info available...

dammit they did this with Uncharted and with Dark Sector as well. When did Japan become so prudent with violence in games? again, living in the country of contradictions....

Ah! Gotcha! Yeah that looks insane! the Natal one just looked like a tech demo. Couldn't really figure out what the point of it was and not so sure if I like the whole "playing games without a controller" thing...

I am pretty hardcore into Resistance at the moment myself.
Biohazard 5 was good times as well! (despite all the unwarrented criticisim about not being able to move whilst shooting)
