Awamori is mixed with water, generally 30%-70% water to awamori. Some idiots though when mixing like to change the percentages around to 90% -10% the other direction. :die:

Sounds yummy!

They use to tell us that in the military. They use to say for ever drink you have, have a glass or 2 of water. for me that only takes the fun out of drinking and makes me sober.

This is why I leave the water drinking to a couple of pints before I hit the sack.

Also, and this is something quite a lot of people don't know about, if you have too much to drink and you are going to spew all over the place, down a pint of water as quickly as possible. This actually forces things to settle back down into the stomach and can stop all sorts of unpleasantness, it works for me anyway.

I have a sad tale to tell, :sadno: , while I was expecting Mr. Napoleon for Christmas circumstances beyond my control forced him to come a few weeks early.

It seems that he was having trouble in his old residence, and while the doctor told him he was supposed to stay lying down as much as possible, he's been on his feet for over 50 years now, he has been slipping away from us, evaporating right before our eyes. Sadly we had to open him up and find out what the problem was, we had an inkling, as his older brother's went through the same malady, and we have been enjoying his company in little bits every night since then.

We are afraid that he won't make it until Christmas, he'll be gone long before then, I fear that his passing will occur sometime over the course of this weekend.

Cheers to Mr Napoleon, :drinks:

PS: On a happier note I can say that Jose WILL be joining us from Christmas Eve! He had to come early, and will be gone before the weekend is over.

I always like to try something new over the holidays, but I am quickly running out of new drinks to try. Last year I tried the pixie stick (named after the candy from my childhood because it tastes just like it even though it is purely alcohol). This year I think I want to try something more archaic so I think I am going to order up some mead or grog. It should be one hell of an experience if nothing else.

I once was convinced by a third party to experiment with sucking Glayva up my nose with a straw. You suck it up, tilt you head back, and it runs through your nasal passages into your mouth/throat. It was a surprisingly not bad experiment.

I've been knocking about on the internet for nigh on 17 years now and very few posts make me actually Laugh Out Loud, this post has the distinction of joining the ranks of those few posts that have (and there really has only been a dozen or so over the years).

End of line.

I was looking for phone clip art to put on my worksheet for my first year kids speaking plus three sheet and I came across this. It is Christmas related so I figured I would stick it here for a cheap and easy laugh.

This year I'm hoping to do as little as possible. Probably won't be entirely possible because I have a couple websites to finish making, but I'm gonna chill at home, with a bottle of bourbon or scotch in the kitchen, and make sure my daughter has a fun Christmas. She'll be 2 next month, but she's learning quick - she's already figured out what a "Christmas tree" and a "Santa" is.
